Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming part and parcel of every subject of the world and is greatly influencing all the sectors of the world. AI has found vast applications in the healthcare field where it has changed the landscape of diagnosis, improving treatments and precise predictions, bringing a more digitized healthcare system, and enhancing medical research and development. Healthcare is a sensitive issue and when it comes to collaboration with AI, it alleviates the risk of exploitation of Human Rights. United Nations (UN) has laid down basic human rights, including healthcare, that everyone enjoys. The use of AI can greatly risk human rights in healthcare. In this chapter, we focus on the policies and steps that a State must take to protect and safeguard human rights in health care. The State must roll down a comprehensive plan to implement AI in healthcare by devising adequate policies to diffuse AI in healthcare and resolve the legal issues that might hinder the peaceful adoption of AI.
