AI-based technologies allow for the innovation of solutions across the five key areas of continuum of patient care in the healthcare industry: preventive, promotive, curative, rehabilitative, and palliative care. Preventive Care is entitled to prevention, and it helps to avoid potential worse conditions. AI tools help high-risk patients with different diseases to be identified, and individualize therapies in disease prevention.Promotive Care targets on the enhancement of health and well-being. AI helps in specific and relevant health promotion interventions based on recommendation and communication to get the patient engaged towards the right behaviors. Curative Care, based on two areas: diagnosis and treatment of diseases with the help of AI, increase accuracy and speed. Rehabilitative refers to the long term care need of patients post treatment and to enhance the functioning of patients with chronic illness.
