Abstract
AI is rapidly transforming the landscape of digital healthcare, offering groundbreaking potential to enhance medical practices. However, with these advancements come critical ethical challenges. The aim of this chapter is to explore these challenges and propose strategies to address them. AI offers transformative benefits like improved patient outcomes, precise diagnoses, and more effective treatment plans, but it also raises significant ethical concerns. This chapter focuses on patient privacy, data integrity, algorithmic bias, fairness, and accountability in clinical decision-making. Key issues include potential data breaches, biased algorithms that may lead to unequal outcomes, and unclear responsibility for AI-driven decisions. Ethical considerations must be integrated during AI system design and monitored continuously to ensure alignment with ethical standards. By prioritizing transparency, fairness, and patient safety, AI can enhance healthcare without compromising ethical integrity.
