Abstract
This chapter discusses the immense role of wearable health devices and the smart technology in healthcare and medical education. Wearable devices are reshaping the health management system specifically after the COVID-19. People are using these devices to track their vitals such as blood pressure, oxygen saturation, heart rate etc. These health gadgets with smart biosensors allow user to track his health record reducing the hospital visits. Wearable gadgets have come a long way historically from a pacemaker and glucose monitors to the highly sophisticated artificial intelligence (AI) based system which not only can help in wellness tracking, but also can help in chronic disease management and telemedicine. Chapter also delves into how these wearable devices and smart technologies are shaping the medical education by integrating the virtual and augmented realities. Despite of having some challenges which should be overcome in the future such as data privacy, accuracy, cost etc. These devices and technologies are paving the way for smart healthcare solutions and personalized treatment.
