Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to change dramatically cardiology practice. Applying AI can allow integration of large language models with extremely large and complex cardiological data bases and cardiovascular imaging. In this way AI could help physicians and scientists in the diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic approach to each individual patient, making real the possibility of a true precision cardiology. To reach this goal, there is a great need of a more collaborative, multidisciplinary and universalistic approach, avoiding any elite methodology leading to overfitting. Inclusion of structured and unstructured data sets could help the representation of the heterogeneity of the real world. Government Authorities, Scientific Societies and all other Institutional stakeholders, including patients, should be involved, with clear Institutional leadership, for the development of an Ethical Trustworthy AI, with shared rules and certification as Medical Devices.
