Abstract
Since the passing away of the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a huge surge in the use of AI, data from the Internet, and new technologies in healthcare to assist the living. This study carried out a scoping review on use and applications, new technologies, AI and healthcare data for the ethical implications and security associated with them in this era. While exploring the cardinal principles ethics including autonomy, beneficence, justice, and non-maleficence, the ethical and security issues associated with AI including data bias, fairness and equity; reliability and safety; trust; transparency and accountability; data privacy and security; effects on patients; effects on healthcare professionals; malicious use of artificial intelligence and challenges for governance are thoroughly exposed. For the fact that AI and data security is a global phenomenon, the ethical and security issues shall be globalized and addressed with recommendation of global regulation and control. AI has come to stay in healthcare but the security challenges produced by AI and recent technologies should be handled with adequate technology to ensure adequate security of healthcare data.
