Abstract

The research aims to substantiate the feasibility of using chatbots with generative artificial intelligence in teaching translation to students in a non-linguistic university in China. The article analyzes the possibilities of optimizing the process of teaching Chinese students translation with the help of chatbots. The scientific novelty of the research lies in describing the methodological potential of using chatbots in translation practice, as well as in developing an algorithm for teaching students in a non-linguistic university in China translation based on a chatbot with generative artificial intelligence. The research found that chatbots offer functions for creating a glossary of terms, quickly searching for collocations, checking the spelling, punctuation, grammar and style of the translated text, as well as evaluating the translated text according to certain criteria. A detailed description of the training algorithm consisting of three stages and nine steps was proposed.
