Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming recruitment, shifting traditional hiring toward efficient, data-driven processes. This chapter explores AI's impact on talent acquisition, detailing its influence on every stage—from candidate sourcing and screening to automated assessments and predictive analytics. Leveraging machine learning, AI allows organizations to analyze vast data sources, such as resumes and social media profiles, to quickly and accurately identify top candidates. The chapter covers key AI technologies like natural language processing, chatbots, and predictive analytics and highlights benefits like efficiency, reduced bias, and improved candidate experience. It also examines ethical challenges, including algorithmic bias, transparency, data privacy, costs, and resistance to change. This chapter underscores the need for responsible AI use, enabling organizations to build inclusive and equitable hiring practices by balancing AI's strengths and limitations.
