Abstract
This chapter examines how artificial intelligence is revolutionizing healthcare by improving patient autonomy and engagement. In order to empower patients to take charge of their health information and make educated decisions about their care it looks at how AI-driven digital tools can support personalized health data management. The chapter focuses on important ethical issues such as informed consent data privacy and the requirement for AI algorithms to be transparent making sure that patients' rights are given top priority when these technologies are implemented. It also discusses the difficulties in incorporating AI tools into current healthcare systems highlighting the significance of stakeholder cooperation between legislators' technology developers and healthcare providers. The chapter uses case studies to demonstrate how ethical AI tools can be successfully implemented to improve patient empowerment and health outcomes.
