Abstract

This study explores the comprehensive effects of High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) designed by Artificial Intelligence (AI) on participants’ physical health, sports performance, and mental health. It combines advanced technologies such as Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) and Variational Auto-encoders (VAEs) to realize the generation of dynamic personalized training plans based on individual data. The experimental results show that during the three-month experimental period, the participants’ maximum oxygen consumption and muscle mass increased by 15.6% and 8.3% on average, and the body fat percentage declined by 20%. Regarding sports performance, the maximum repetitions of participants (such as squats and bench presses) have increased by 33.3% and 40%, respectively, and the Metabolic Equivalents (METs) have also significantly raised by 25%. The mental health assessment reveals that the participants’ Self-Rating Anxiety Scale and Self-Rating Depression Scale scores have decreased by 30% and 27.3%, respectively, and the Quality of Life score has markedly increased by 15.4%. Therefore, this study confirms the effectiveness of a HIIT training scheme designed by generative AI on several health metrics and demonstrates its enormous potential in the personalized fitness field.
