Abstract

In recent years, artificial intelligence (AI) has been used in the medical industry to improve patient care that ultimately leads to better quality of life. Machine learning has been used for imaging reports, pathology slides, and electronic medical records. Indeed, machine learning has helped in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. AI systems have shown remarkable capabilities in designing compounds and accelerating the drug development process. These advancements underscore the potential of AI to revolutionize drug discovery, significantly reducing costs and improving the quality of new medications. Diverse and complex dataset can be handled with AI during clinical trials. Indeed, AI can assist with various analytical procedures which are almost impossible for humans to handle. AI also gives insights into how a drug behaves in the dissolution process and helps in the development of efficient molecules. It also helps with the selection of the most effective formulation to increase absorption and distribution of drugs. Using AI to enhance disposition of drugs has accelerated the drug development process and improved patient outcome.
