Abstract
This research specifically looks into the game-changing potential of generative AI in the healthcare sector. By analysing the large scope and possibilities of the application of the technology in the healthcare ecosystem, the chapter analyses the various segments into which the application of the technology can bring enormous benefits to patients. These benefits are discussed in detail in the research while the study also suggests the underpinning of the adoption roadmap that can be used by the healthcare sector for integrating generative AI into their functional procedures and operational mechanisms. The importance of all stakeholders including patients, industry, and policymakers is then comprehensively analysed and discussed in great detail in this chapter. The concluding section of the research then offers important implications of the study and analyses how generative AI will ultimately converge with other emerging technologies and can revolutionise the field of the healthcare ecosystem.
