Abstract
The chapter, “AI in Healthcare - A Comprehensive Overview,” discusses transformative use in the diagnosis and treatment of patients; further it focuses more on using AI in better treatment procedures and patient care with deep learning, machine learning, and natural language processing that allows a person to analyze voluminous data, improve efficacy in diagnosis, plan treatments, adapt to treatment approaches, and assist analytics. This chapter will enumerate a few AI applications, including disease risk prediction, real-time monitoring, virtual health assistants, among others, and examines key issues of privacy, clarity, and accountability. Through this, emphasis is being placed on the deployment of AI solutions in a just and accountable manner while providing inputs to healthcare providers, scientists, and other policymakers toward the possible patient outcomes improvements, access improvements, and quality improvements which AI-driven intelligent systems offer.
