Abstract
The inclusion of predictive technologies in rehabilitation involves data in planning its delivery to suit a patient's needs and an area of significant ethical concern. The key here would be to involve technological growth within the healthcare sector, aligned with medical ethics that would determine the use of devices without infringing on the patient's rights. Such features also mean that open communicative channels and policy processes can be highly beneficial for the enhancement of trust in such systems. Proper formulation of ethics is needed to effectively create standards for rehabilitation prediction technology as well as interact with stakeholders and regulatory commissions to make certain rehabilitative technologies are used in an appropriately monitored manner. Achieving this balance is necessary in order to reap the benefits of such innovations while, at the same time, maintaining patient and doctor autonomy as well as the principles of the practicing ethics in the medical field.
