Abstract
This chapter investigates e-government as a revitalizing force in public health by infusion of online digital-embedded medical technologies for continuing across the life-span delivery of personalized, accessible and equitable healthcare for everyone. Available inputs: The rapid advancements — like artificial intelligence (AI), wearable devices, telemedicine and big data analytics — can make e-government platforms the cornerstone for modernizing public health systems. This approach implements digital health under the broader umbrella of e-government, which has been shown to address existing gaps between critical components of healthcare delivery and public health management by enabling real-time data sharing, predictive analytics, and interactions between individuals with healthcare providers and relevant policymakers.
