Abstract

<sec> <title>UNSTRUCTURED</title> Abstract Artificial Intelligence (AI) is swiftly establishing itself as a fundamental element of transformation within global healthcare systems. The effectiveness of this technology is contingent upon the readiness of the workforce, particularly future physicians. The integration of AI models in medical education must adhere to the foundational principles of the field, including ethical considerations, the preservation of the physician-patient relationship, and the primacy of human judgment. The future of medicine is increasingly linked to technological innovations, notably AI. It is imperative to prepare medical students for this evolving landscape to ensure their capability to effectively incorporate AI into clinical practice. This preparation equips physicians with the skills necessary to utilize emerging technologies in ways that enhance their understanding of clinical challenges. As the forthcoming generation of healthcare providers, medical students are crucial in adopting and integrating AI into clinical practice. This policy brief aims to provide a framework for preparing medical students for the future of AI in healthcare, assisting policymakers in universities, governments, and health authorities in developing effective educational programs. </sec>
