Abstract
International Journal of Pain 1 Pain medicine, a clinical discipline focused on diagnosing and managing acute or chronic pain, aims to significantly improve patients' quality of life [1].Achieving this goal critically depends on accurate diagnosis and the development of individualized treatment strategies. The complex and subjective nature of pain symptoms requires physicians to consider a wide range of potential underlying conditions. Moreover, extensive clinical experience is essential for managing these patients effectively.Optimal pain management also demands a steadfast commitment to continuous learning and the integration of the latest clinical advancements. However, the realities of clinical practice often require physicians to make diagnostic and treatment decisions under significant time constraints, while the accumulation of expertise remains a time-intensive process. These challenges are further compounded by the limited time available for in-depth etiological assessments and keeping up-to-date with the rapid advancement of therapeutic options for pain management. In this challenging clinical landscape, large language models (LLMs), such as ChatGPT, are emerging as valuable digital allies for pain physicians [2-4].A key advantage of ChatGPT is its ability to provide swift access to up-to-date pain management guidelines, pharmacolog-ical data, and procedural indications (Fig. 1) [2-4].The platform can rapidly synthesize and deliver concise summaries on topics such as indications for nerve blocks, insurance coverage criteria, and recent research findings, often within seconds.Additionally, ChatGPT can provide critical information regarding medications that require cautious administration in patients with renal or hepatic dysfunction. These capabilities not only save valuable time
