ChatGPT Choreography: Discovering Developer Dialogues and Potential Software Development Lifecycle Applications

Abstract
We analyze a large dataset of 17,913 ChatGPT–developer dialogues using topic modeling and thematic analysis. Our multimethod approach identifies 10 themes, revealing key insights into ChatGPT’s application across software development lifecycle tasks and the time required for effective issue resolution.
