Abstract
This paper examines the development and implementation of LipidLlama, an AI-powered mobile health application for multilingual cardiovascular patient education. The study focuses on the technical integration of rule-based AI and retrieval augmented generation for personalized health communication. We detail the system architecture, risk assessment methodology, and patient education delivery mechanisms. While we discuss the potential clinical implications and healthcare provider benefits, this paper does not include patient results. The scope is limited to the technical framework, theoretical underpinnings, and preliminary validation of the platform by domain experts. Future research will be needed to evaluate clinical efficacy and real-world impact across diverse patient populations.
