Abstract
This study explores university students' perspectives on using Chat GPT in scientific research. Through questionnaires and interviews with 245 students, primarily from Mekong Delta, data revealed that Chat GPT is increasingly popular for simplifying research. Using SPSS (version 25), analysis focused on its purposes, benefits, limitations, and normalization in research. Most students agreed on its time-saving benefits, though opinions on its purposes varied, reflecting diverse usage goals. These findings underscore the need for further exploration to understand student perspectives and optimize Chat GPT's role in scientific research.
