Empowering Nursing Students During AI Era: Educational Strategies for Enhancing Knowledge and Acceptance of Artificial Intelligence

Abstract
<title>Abstract</title> <bold>Background</bold> : A notable advance is the amalgamation of artificial intelligence (AI) into healthcare practice and education. <bold>Aim of the study</bold> : To evaluate the effectiveness of educational strategies in enhancing nursing students’ knowledge and acceptance of artificial intelligence. <bold>Methods:</bold> A quasi-experimental research design was adopted. <bold>Subjects:</bold> A convenience sample of 1000 undergraduate nursing students at the Faculty of Nursing, Sohag University, Egypt. <bold>Tool:</bold> A structured interview questionnaire was used (pre- and post-test). <bold>Results</bold> : A statistically significant improvement in knowledge and acceptability at p < 0.001. A strong positive correlation was found between knowledge and acceptability (p < 0.01). <bold>Conclusion:</bold> This study concluded that the educational strategies had a positive effect on enhancing nursing students' knowledge and acceptance regarding artificial intelligence. <bold>Recommendations:</bold> These findings underscore the need to incorporate AI training into nursing curricula to prepare the next generation of healthcare specialists for the evolving digital health landscape. Additionally, support student-led research projects that explore AI applications in nursing to foster critical thinking and innovation.
