The Convergence of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence: Applications in Healthcare, Cybersecurity, Poultry Science, and the Transformative Role of ChatGPT

Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI), which is based on computer science, is transforming a wide variety of industries, including healthcare, cybersecurity, agriculture, and conversational technologies. The present review discusses the benefits of AI to improve clinical decision-making, medical imaging, and personalized treatment in healthcare, as well as increasing cybersecurity by incorporating predictive threat detection and dynamic defenses. Precision farming, disease surveillance and nutrition optimization enabled by AI is used in poultry science to create a sustainable food production and promote the welfare of animals. Such a conversational AI like ChatGPT is the best example of how natural language processing can help to fill the knowledge gaps, advance the communication processes, and facilitate interdisciplinary work. Although it has an enormous potential, it still has its challenges, such as privacy of data, biases of algorithms, ethical decision-making, and equal access. The visions going forward include explainable AI, universal availabilities, and answerable human-AI cooperation.
