Abstract
Motivation: This study explores the perspectives of Latin American radiographers regarding the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) in MRI due to limited data and negligible representation of the region. Goal(s): This study aims to provide a regional perspective by surveying radiographers across all Latin American countries. Approach: A digital survey was distributed across all Latin American countries, collecting responses from 152 radiographers currently working in MRI. Results: Results show general optimism about AI's potential benefits, particularly in how it can help improving image quality or ensure patient safety. However, concerns about job displacement, insufficient AI education, and a lack of confidence were prevalent. Impact: This study provides insights into Latin American radiographers' perspectives on AI in MRI, highlighting optimism for improved image quality and patient safety, alongside concerns about education, job displacement, and trust. It underscores the need for tailored educational initiatives and policies.
