Abstract
The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into healthcare offers unprecedented opportunities for enhancing diagnostics, treatment planning, and operational efficiency. However, it also raises complex ethical and legal challenges related to autonomy, justice, data privacy, accountability, and equitable access. The authors explore these concerns through a bioethical lens, grounded in the principles of autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence, and justice. They introduce the DEEP CARE PATH framework, comprising twelve actionable pillars, to guide the ethical and legally sound deployment of AI in medical contexts. Using hypothetical case studies, they illustrate how ethical lapses can occur and how they can be mitigated through systemic reform and interdisciplinary collaboration. The authors advocate for proactive, inclusive, and adaptive approaches to AI governance that protect patient rights while enabling responsible innovation in healthcare.
