Generative Artificial Intelligence in Early Childhood Education: A Bibliometric Analysis

Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies have been applied in various domains. Generative artificial intelligence (generative AI, GAI) is an emerging artificial intelligence method that generates multiple forms of data such as text, images, and videos. For example, using GAI educational technology is a recent significant trend, which has more and more studies of GAI in ECE. However, there is a lack of studies that provide an analysis of the studies of GAI in ECE. In this paper, we provide a bibliometric method to analyze the studies of various topics such as GAI in ECE. Importantly, we released the open-source code to improve the development of bibliometric analysis in various domains. This paper contributes to providing introductory material for beginners to GAI (particularly in ECE), as well as supplementary material for advanced users.
