Abstract

Correcting Global Curriculum Errors and the Problem with the Peter Chew Triangle Curriculum:A Breakthrough in Pandemic-Resilient Education (Saving Huge Health Costs and LivesDuring Pandemics), Artificial Intelligence, and Curriculum ReformProf. Peter chew .AbstractThis study identifies a critical flaw in the global mathematics triangle solution curriculum—specifically, the misapplication of the sine rule in certain isosceles triangle configurations. These errors have been replicated across major platforms, including well-known AI systems such as Math GPT and OpenAI GPT-4o-mini, as well as popular online calculators like Wolfram Alpha and Mathportal. This correction is as pivotal as Laplace’s refinement of Newton’s formula for the speed of sound. In addition, two major problems persist:Finding Angles in SAS Problems : Due to the complexity of the solution, it is easy to misinterpret obtuse angle considerations, often resulting in incorrect answers. This issue has been replicated across major AI platforms, including Math GPT, ChatGPT Alternative and Manus.Finding the Third Side in SSA Problems : Because the solution is complex, it commonly produces incomplete answers. These errors have also been observed on major AI platforms, including Math GPT and online calculators such as Mathportal. CoPilot AI and Chat GPT produces Wrong rule and answer.Furthermore, these two major problems extend to widely used search engines like Google, further amplifying misinformation across digital learning environments. The consequences go beyond academic confusion. During pandemics, such complexity increases reliance on face-to-face instruction, which raises infection risks, complicates pandemic control, and can result in loss of life. The Peter Chew Triangle Curriculum echoes Einstein’s timeless insights: “We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.” “Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler.” “Genius is making complex things simple.” The Peter Chew Triangle Curriculum offers a scientifically validated solution with three major benefits:Support for Pandemic-Resilient Education (Saving Huge Health Costs and Lives During Pandemics) : Enables effective online learning without reliance on face-to-face instruction due to its simplicity and systematic approach. With the aid of technology, future educational apps can provide detailed, step-by-step solutions with 100% accuracy, complete answers, and simplified methods. This reduces the need for in-person teaching, lowers infection risk, makes pandemic control easier, saves substantial public health costs, and can help save lives. This is why leading global public health organizations, including WHO and Europe PMC, have shared the Peter Chew Triangle Diagram article.Transforming AI from “Liar” to “Hero” : Improves AI performance. Empirical studies show that using the Peter Chew Rule and Method can overcome AI errors and limitations, producing correct, complete, and simplified answers. This transformation enables AI to assist students accurately, and the simplified solutions help students learn easily and happily—like a hero—preventing the spread of incorrect answers and avoiding the perception of AI as unreliable (liar).Global Curriculum Reform : Corrects foundational errors and simplifies mathematical logic for future generations, ensuring easier learning with the help of future knowledge education apps, and preventing students from being misled by current curricula. It also ensures happy learning through easy, simple, and systematic solutions for all.If we fail to act, complex solutions will again force unsafe face-to-face instruction during future pandemics. Countries will need to spend excessive amounts to control outbreaks, risking both lives and learning. AI will continue to hallucinate (liar), and students will remain misled, struggling with complex solutions and experiencing unhappy learning. The time to act is now—to prevent these problems from worsening, especially to protect lives and save huge health costs when pandemics like COVID-19 occur in the future. The COVID-19 pandemic has already had a deeply negative impact on SDG progress. We must act quickly to prevent future pandemics from continuing this deeply negative impact on global development goals. Keywords: Peter Chew Correction for Sine Rule, Peter Chew Rule, Peter Chew Direct Quadratic Method , Peter Chew Triangle Diagram.
