Abstract
This article explores the importance of teaching students with learning disabilities to be prompt engineers. With the development, release, and global implementation of large language models (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini), artificial intelligence (AI) tools are becoming more dynamic and capable of providing feedback and support to students. This article offers practical strategies for introducing and teaching prompt engineering, including classroom activities such as using drawing, sentence frames, image generation, and checklists. In addition, the article highlights the importance of using AI responsibly and ethically, with students maintaining their own ideas. By creating stronger prompt engineers, students with disabilities who struggle with writing can utilize AI as a valuable tool to improve their writing skills and become more confident and independent writers.
