Abstract
The practice of medicine is on the brink of a profound transformation. With the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into clinical workflows, diagnostics, research, and patient care, medicine is rapidly evolving into a more precise, data-driven, and personalized science. While AI is not new to medical informatics, its recent breakthroughs — especially in deep learning, natural language processing, and generative algorithms — have significantly expanded its capabilities and clinical relevance. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is fundamentally altering the field of modern healthcare. From radiology and pathology to drug discovery and patient monitoring, AI is no longer a futuristic concept—it is an evolving reality within clinical practice. The most impactful uses of AI to date are evident in diagnostic imaging, pathology, and risk prediction models. Machine learning algorithms can detect abnormalities in X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs with accuracy comparable to, and in some cases exceeding, that of human experts.
