<title>Abstract</title> Background: Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming increasingly prevalent in most aspects of our lives, and with its continued development, it raises new questions and challenges, making it one of the most interesting and important topics for discussion.Objective: To study the role of AI in healthcare and to provide a simple evaluation of AI technologies and their ability to be supportive tools in these fields.Method: This study used two AI-based applications (Symptomate &amp; Ada, Check your Health) to analyze 12 cases for human doctors and compare them with the diagnostic outputs of the applications.This study was conducted as a retrospective case series at the faculty of pharmacy, Damascus University. We identified and reviewed the medical records. The collected data included patient medication prescriptions, reported symptoms, physician diagnoses, and treatment information. Descriptive statistics were used to summaize the gathered data.Results: The degree of agreement between the diagnoses of the applications and the human doctor was 91.8%, which indicates the rapid progress of AI technologies.Conclusions: The significant progress of these technologies indicates their ability to be supportive tools in the field of healthcare.we conclude that artificial intelligence applications hold a promising ang significant role in our future, presenting itself as a supportive future partner in healthcare fields, saving time and effort, and improving efficiency and accuracy.
