Abstract
Abstract The digitalization of healthcare, driven by artificial intelligence ( AI ), is creating new forms of visibility. Visibility encompasses both physical perceptibility of a person and the visibility necessary for recognition and social participation. This article argues that two phenomena compromise recognition and social participation: (digital) invisibility and (digital) exposure. Consequently, the governance of AI in medicine must consider these phenomena.
