Abstract
Rapid evolution of artificial intelligence (AI) and large language models (LLM) led to their increasing practical applications in medicine, particularly for diagnostic accuracy. LLMs showed strong performance in interpreting medical imaging and pathological data, as well as in answering medical exams questions. However, their ability to support clinical decision making outside testing environment remains uncertain. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to synthesize the available evidence on clinical decision-making, directly comparing LLMs with physicians.
