Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) has progressively been incorporated into education, providing novel tools that facilitate and improve students' learning experiences, notably in the area of academic writing skills. This study explored the practical application of AI-driven tools in the teaching of academic English writing. Particularly, the efficacy of AI-driven writing tool in the classroom pedagogy. Utilizing a pre-test/post-test research design, participants were selected randomly into experimental and control groups. The experimental group received writing instruction supplemented with AI-powered tools, while the control group underwent traditional instruction without technological intervention. Results showed a statistically significant increase in the post-test scores of the experimental group relative to the control group. The findings underscore the pedagogical potential of AI technologies in education and advocate for their deliberate integration into English writing instruction.
