Abstract
Abstract: AI and the Future of Creation Artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping creative practice across design, visual effects (VFX), and graphic production by accelerating routine workflows and expanding the space of viable concepts. Synthesizing peer-reviewed studies and conference proceedings from 2020-2025, this paper examines three roles of AI in contemporary pipelines: automation of complex production tasks, generative content creation for multimodal ideation, and adaptive personalization of outputs. Evidence indicates that AI assistance increases iteration speed and the breadth of conceptual exploration, enabling higher allocation of human effort to narrative, aesthetic judgment, and art direction ; however, overreliance can elevate design fixation and dampen originality during ideation. We propose an augmentative integration framework that positions AI as a tool for divergence and efficiency while preserving human authority over constraint setting, selection, and refinement. The framework includes practical guardrails: staged human review, counter-prompting to mitigate fixation, and documentation of data provenance to balance capability with creative intent, ethics, and evolving skill requirements. This work contributes ctionable guidelines and a coherent model for strategically integrating AI into creative workflows without eroding authorship or originality.
