Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) is changing modern healthcare by enabling more accurate diagnostics, efficient workflows, and personalized care delivery. AI uses computer programs that learn from large amounts of medical data, such as images, test results, and patient records. AI can help detect diseases earlier, suggest possible diagnoses, and predict a patient’s risk of getting certain conditions. This can lead to quicker treatment and better outcomes. AI also helps create personalized medicine by finding patterns in each patient’s health information. This allows doctors to choose treatments that fit the patient’s needs and check how well those treatments are working in real time. AI can help with tasks like scheduling appointments, writing notes, and watching patients to check their health. AI systems can process large volumes of clinical, imaging, and genomic data far beyond human capacity. These abilities support early disease detection, improved risk prediction, and timely clinical decision-making. In areas such as radiology and pathology, AI can look at medical images and spot details that people might miss. This helps doctors make more accurate decisions. AI in healthcare faces challenges, including concerns about data privacy, algorithmic bias, and the need for transparency and regulatory oversight.
