Abstract
Access to quality healthcare remains a critical challenge especially in developing nations where urban areas may enjoy the benefit of having an easy access to quality healthcare but rural areas suffer due to lack of timely diagnosis, medical consultation and proper treatment facilities. To bridge this gap, smart healthcare pods, integrating AR-VR technologies, IoT and AI, offer a revolutionizing solution. These smart healthcare pods provide a sustainable way to offer real time health data monitoring, telemedicine services, automate diagnostics and provide emergency response services. With AI, we can make predictions of any commonly occurring diseases and based on early diagnosis and detection, we can make predictions of any potential hazardous diseases and furthermore, take appropriate actions to prevent it early-on. IoT enabled devices can collect a patient's overall data, AI can provide valuable insights on the data collected and AR-VR technologies can be used to enhance a patient's experience and aid in providing interactive consultations. These healthcare pods operate with minimal human intervention making them best suited to be implemented in rural areas where access to medical facilities is limited.
