Abstract The integration of generative artificial intelligence, exemplified by large language models like ChatGPT, is fundamentally reconfiguring business operations by optimizing knowledge-intensive workflows and redefining productivity paradigms. This nano review critically evaluates its multifaceted role as a catalyst for automating routine administrative and analytical tasks, enhancing decision-support systems, and personalizing stakeholder communication at scale. The synthesis reveals significant gains in operational efficiency and strategic insight, yet concurrently identifies profound organizational risks, including data privacy vulnerabilities, the amplification of algorithmic bias in decision-making, and the potential erosion of critical human expertise. The analysis concludes that sustainable business value hinges on the development of robust governance frameworks, comprehensive AI literacy programs, and a human-centric approach to augmentation that strategically leverages AI’s capabilities while preserving ethical oversight and fostering workforce adaptation.
