Abstract The integration of generative artificial intelligence, particularly large language models like ChatGPT, into digital media workflows is catalyzing a fundamental transformation across the content creation lifecycle. This nano review examines the technology's disruptive impact on production, distribution, and consumption, analyzing its role in automating routine content generation, enabling hyper-personalization at scale, and reshaping creative roles. The review synthesizes current applications in journalism, marketing, and entertainment, while critically addressing significant challenges including the homogenization of creative output, the proliferation of algorithmic bias and misinformation, and profound economic implications for media professionals. It concludes that the sustainable evolution of digital media hinges on developing ethical frameworks and hybrid models that strategically leverage AI's efficiency while preserving human editorial judgment, creative originality, and public trust.
