Abstract

In today’s fast-changing world, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) are reshaping education and workforce development. Mastering 21st-century skills has become essential to keeping pace with these advancements. This paper explores the impact of AI and ML on socio-economic growth, focusing on their role in education, key challenges, and possible solutions. A mixed-method approach, including case studies and existing research, was employed to analyze the impact. The data was analysed using comparative and thematic analysis to draw meaningful conclusions. The study highlights the transformation of education and workforce training through AI and ML, emphasizing the need for updated policies, teacher preparedness, and curriculum integration. A major focus is on the incorporation of AI & ML in Indian schools, exploring how these technologies can enhance learning experiences, improve skill development, and shape future career opportunities. The findings suggest that while AI in education holds great potential, challenges such as policy adaptation, resource availability, and the rapid pace of technological advancements must be addressed. Despite these limitations, this analysis provides practical recommendations for policymakers, educators, and industry leaders. It also lays a foundation for further studies on the ethical considerations, scalability, and long-term impact of AI & ML in education and employment.
