Strategic Integration of Large Language Models for Business Transformation

Abstract
Large Language Models (LLMs) reshape enterprise operations through automation, decision support, and knowledge augmentation. This chapter introduces the Enterprise LLM Deployment Lifecycle (ELDL), a four-phase framework--planning, design, deployment, and governance--to align LLM adoption with strategic and ethical goals. Real-world use cases from finance, retail, and consulting demonstrate benefits such as cost savings, customer satisfaction, and faster knowledge access. The chapter also addresses key risks, including hallucinations, bias, and compliance, with mitigation strategies grounded in research. Future directions, including multimodal LLMs and human-AI collaboration, are explored. LLMs are positioned as tools and drivers of responsible innovation and enterprise transformation.
