Abstract

This study documents the first empirical validation of the AI Visibility framework through controlled observation of large language model training cycles. Between late January and early February 2026, entity recognition for "Joseph Mas" transitioned from near-zero to comprehensive across multiple LLM platforms (Claude, ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Perplexity, X) within a two-week observation window following strategic implementation of AI Visibility principles across a minimal corpus of 27 documents. The research validates core theoretical predictions including the Shallow Pass Selection Hypothesis, Aggregation and Signal Formation Theorem, and Upstream Ingestion Conditions Theorem. Key findings demonstrate that training velocity from content publication to observable ingestion measured at 4-6 weeks, substantially faster than assumed 6-12 month cycles. The study also reveals that optimizing for upstream training ingestion automatically produces downstream retrieval improvements as a byproduct, eliminating the need for separate optimization strategies. Methodology included systematic baseline measurements, consistent testing protocols across platforms, and the use of linguistic fingerprinting as deterministic temporal markers. The temporal cutoff was precisely delineated, with December 2025 content successfully ingested while January 2026 content remained absent from training data, providing empirical evidence of training cycle boundaries. This work establishes the first empirical grounding for the AI Visibility framework and demonstrates that strategic upstream optimization can achieve measurable multi-platform ingestion within compressed timeframes.
