Abstract
Generative artificial intelligence (AIGC), typified by ChatGPT, has had a strong impact on the academic writing field, which, on the one hand, is able to simulate human thinking and play a role in assisting literature reading, expanding writing ideas, text creation, and embellishing language, and, at the same time, has produced technological failures, ethical failures, and human-computer failures in its application. In this context, the article focuses on the research of AIGC empowering college students' dissertation writing, analyzes the application of AIGC in different scenarios, clarifies the norms that need to be followed by AIGC in college students' dissertation writing, and finally puts forward the strategy of applying AIGC for dissertation writing, aiming at promoting the scientific application of AIGC in academic writing, and assisting college students in improving the efficiency and quality of dissertation writing.
