Abstract
This study aims to investigate the use of DeepSeek versus ChatGPT in supporting teachers’ lesson plan designs. A total of sixteen graduate students were divided into two groups: Group 1, which used ChatGPT, and Group 2, which used DeepSeek to design a mathematics lesson plan with ‘Numbers’ as the learning topic for first-grade elementary school students. The study was conducted in a six-hour workshop, and data was collected from participants’ responses to the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) questionnaire. The Mann-Whitney U test revealed a significant difference between Group 1 and Group 2 in perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and behavioral intention. Additionally, Group 2 outperformed Group 1 in terms of scores across all aspects of TAM. These results indicate positive perceptions and intentions among users to adopt DeepSeek for supporting their teaching and learning.
