Abstract
The integration of Generative AI technology into higher education is driving significant changes in terms of personalized learning, content creation, and the development of academic innovation. This study aims to explore university students' perspectives and behaviors regarding the use of Generative AI, particularly tools such as ChatGPT, via a systematic meta-analysis of 70 research articles between 2022– 2025 to identify the factors that affect student acceptance and use. The results of the study showed that most students have a positive attitude towards Generative AI, seeing it as a learning assistant that improves efficiency, Creativity, and confidence in learning. However, there are also ethical concerns, data accuracy, and the risks of over-reliance on AI. The main factors that have the highest influence are learning value, performance expectancy, and trust in AI. Governments should promote an AI-Readiness policy framework to support equity, data protection, and the critical use of AI in higher education, ensuring sustainable implementation.
