Abstract
This paper explores the application of generative artificial intelligence models within the field of dentistry. It examines how these models are being utilized in dental education, patient care, and research, analyzing their potential to transform traditional practices and addressing the challenges associated with their implementation. In particular, the survey highlights integration frameworks such as adaptive assessment mechanisms, clinical decision-support models, and generative reconstruction pipelines. The reviewed studies were identified through searches in PubMed, IEEE Xplore, and Scopus (2020–2025), with inclusion restricted to peer-reviewed articles and domain-relevant preprints.
