Abstract
Patients usually struggle with understanding their medical reports because of convoluted clinical jargon and numeric data, resulting in confusion, delayed decision-making, and inadequate health literacy. MedVision AI is an Android mobile application designed to simplify understanding of medical reports for non-clinical users. The application uses the OCR feature of Google ML Tool Kit to scan laboratory reports (images or PDFs), identify vital health indicators such as hemoglobin, sugar, WBC, and RBC, and compare them to standard medical thresholds based on rules. Using automation tools like n8n, it uses Natural Language Processing (NLP) to generate plain-language summaries and delivers personalized health information and real-time reminders via email, SMS, or in-app notifications. In order to support collaborative care, MedVision AI also makes it easier to track medical histories, store data securely, and grant guardians or physicians rolebased access. MedVision AI bridges the gap between raw medical data and meaningful interpretation, enabling users—especially the elderly and non-technical—to actively manage their health, in contrast to existing health applications that ease the viewing of data.
