Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly being integrated into healthcare for clinical decision support, patient monitoring, documentation, and hospital management. Nursing students must therefore develop adequate knowledge and a positive attitude toward AI applications. The present study evaluated the effectiveness of nurse-led video-assisted teaching on nursing students’ knowledge and attitude regarding AI in healthcare. A quantitative experimental design was adopted among 200 B.Sc. Nursing students (100 experimental and 100 control) selected from two nursing colleges of Indore, Madhya Pradesh. A structured knowledge questionnaire and a Likert-type attitude scale were used to assess pre-test and post-test levels. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics such as independent t-test, paired t-test, and chi-square test. Findings showed significant improvement in post-test knowledge and attitude among students exposed to nurse-led video-assisted teaching. The study concludes that video-assisted teaching is an effective educational strategy to improve nursing students’ readiness for AI-based healthcare practice.
