Abstract
The present research seeks to develop an innovative framework for evaluating and selecting AI-powered translation tools, with the goal of incorporating the new technology into translator education. Two phases were considered in the development of this framework. In the initial phase, 28 AI-powered translation tools were identified and compared in order to create a checklist. The second phase was designed at a higher, more specialized level to systemize the teaching process. To this end, existing literature in the field of education was thoroughly reviewed to extract the fundamental principles that should be considered in the teaching process. Finally, the overall framework was structured into two phases. The first phase involved evaluating the practicality of the tools based on a checklist. The second phase assessed the compatibility of the tools approved in the first phase with the features of the selected psychological and epistemological approaches to teaching and learning.
