Abstract

ChatGPT, a renowned Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) tool, has had a significant impact on various domains in terms of creative and technical text generation, data research, and analysis. However, rapid usage has also increased critical concerns about privacy and ethical issues. This study comprehensively evaluates the consequences of ChatGPT in framing the policies and regulations for artificial intelligence (AI) for different countries (years), that is, France (2018), India (2018), Australia (2019), China (2019), Canada (2017), UK (2018), Germany (2018), Singapore (2019), USA (2019), and Denmark (2019). ChatGPT is an instrument in influencing and shaping AI policy all around the world. The chapter highlighted the ethical deliberations encompassing the usage of AI tools in decision-making, plugging in the demand for responsible 308governance, based on three cases as an illustration. That its policies related to the misleading advertisement, transparency about the parameters being considered in generating the output with the inputs provided are questionable, and data-privacy concern in art and social media. It also comprehensively focused on Indian regulation in different domains, that is, healthcare, agriculture, education, cities, and infrastructure. This study pioneered the discourse of AI governance (fostering transparency and accountability in AI-enabled processes) through the influence of public perception, ethical considerations, potential risks, regulatory developments, and public discourse related to the AI policy framework.
