Abstract
It is a review of a compilation of documentation of representation of some of the prominent viewpoints, explaining the importance of the drug repositioning methods in adherence with the drug designing process. Repurposing of drugs is a technique that implies a newly renewing/altering any chemical substance that contains therapeutic affinity. Designing of drugs is a tedious process, and it involves hard work. Rather, drug repurposing is a considerably beneficial approach compared to conventional process. Repurposing of drugs is a cry to have immediate research in prospective research. The drug repositioning method is an extremely encouraging industry in regards to drug designing since new therapeutic chances are researched and tweaked into an existing drug that has passed FDA approval and was previously clinically utilized. The already known/marketed drugs are reused in this process in clinical settings. This practice has a great potential in terms of the development of therapeutic tools which can be applied to rare and complex diseases, and drug repurposing is still a significant source of treatment of various medical conditions and disorders. It does not have high risks of failure as the safety parameters have been verified during earlier studies and it also does not take much time during development. This method assists in the smaller data collection groups of research, and is mainly scholarly. The approach assists in recalling the drugs that were not included and also providing multiple intended to the drugs that already exist. To identify the right medication candidates to repurpose, artificial intelligence can offer capability to process large volumes of data including medical record and genomic data and clinical trial outcomes. The focus is made on the connection between AI and medicine. Effective examples of AI-based applications in drug repurposing into new applications have seen the creation of remdesivir to treat COVID-19 and the repurposing of metformin to treat cancer.
