Abstract
Objectives: To evaluate current applications of artificial intelligence in pediatric dentistry and explore future opportunities for clinical integration. Methods: A narrative review of published studies was conducted focusing on AI-assisted diagnostics, predictive analytics, virtual assistants, and automated patient management systems in pediatric dental care. Results: AI-based tools demonstrated improved accuracy in caries detection, eruption pattern prediction, malocclusion screening, and treatment planning. Virtual assistants enhanced patient education and appointment management. Personalized treatment planning driven by data analytics improved clinical efficiency and decision-making. Conclusions: Artificial intelligence offers significant potential to enhance pediatric dental care by improving diagnostics, workflow efficiency, and patient engagement. Continued technological refinement and ethical integration are necessary for widespread adoption.
